In-Person Audition Procedure
All young artists must audition. Admission is open to collegiate undergraduate and graduate flute, clarinet, oboe, horn and bassoon players. Auditionees are required to perform two contrasting pieces demonstrating musical, technical, and articulation ability. Accompaniment must be provided if called for in the repertoire. A letter of recommendation from the student’s present or recent teacher is required for admission. All who audition will be informed of the results by late March. The Madeline Island Music Camp reserves the right to make repertoire and ensemble changes at any time.
Audition by recording procedure
Audition by CD or mini-disc is accepted (video and audio tapes are not accepted). Please mail audition recordings to: Madeline Island Music Camp, 118 East 26th Street, Suite 200, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55404. Audition recordings must be received by March 15, 2010.
